All patches are presented RAW, with effects turned OFF. The patches still have optional pre-programmed effects, and you can simply choose to activate them or play the patches in their original raw form.

This way, you have access to two alternative sounds for each preset: one raw, and one with effects.

Why bypassing effects per default?

The effects are practical and interesting, but the raw tone definitely becomes more ‘digital’ once they are activated: there is a slight loss of definition and impact. The differences are very tiny, but it made sense for this soundbank to achieve the nicest and most varied raw timbres by staying 100% analog. This is how the Prophet 6 can achieve the most authentic vintage tones.

However, quite a lot of time was invested to still program the most appropriate effects for each preset: Various delays, reverbs, chorus, flangers and phasers were used according to the character and properties of each patch. Synced settings for delays or modulation also offer instant inspiration when combined with sequences or the arpeggiator. Make sure you try the pre-programmed effects and see which version you prefer :)
